Example: How Chocolate Is Made
Introduction: "The diagram shows the stages involved in producing chocolate from cocoa beans."
Overview: "The process consists of seven main stages, from harvesting the raw cocoa beans to packaging the final chocolate product."
Body 1: "Initially, cocoa beans are harvested from cocoa trees. The beans are then fermented for several days. After fermentation, the beans are dried in the sun for about a week. Next, the dried beans are packed into bags and transported to the factory."
Body 2: "At the factory, the beans are roasted at high temperature. The roasted beans are then ground into a paste. Finally, the chocolate paste is moulded into bars and packaged for sale."
Common Mistakes
- Using "I think" — Process diagrams are descriptive
- Not using passive voice — "The beans are harvested" not "Workers harvest the beans"
- Mixing up the order — Follow the process step by step
- No overview — Always summarize the process
