In Sentence Completion, you're given incomplete sentences and must complete them using words from the passage.

Step 1: Read the Word Limit
"If no more than two words" means you can write 1 or 2 words. Three words = wrong.- What is the sentence about?
- What information is missing?
- What type of word fits? (noun, number, name)
Step 2: Read the Incomplete Sentence
Understand:Step 3: Predict the Answer Type
"The course lasts _____" → A number or time period "The founder's name is _____" → A proper noun "The main problem is _____" → A noun or noun phraseStep 4: Find It in the Passage
Scan for keywords from the sentence. When you find the relevant section, read carefully for the answer.- Does it fit grammatically?
- Is it within the word limit?
- Is it spelled correctly?
- Does it make sense?
Step 5: Check
Common Mistakes
- Wrong word count — Always count your words before writing
- Grammar mismatch — "The students was" is wrong even if "was" is in the passage
- Not using passage words — You can't use your own words
- Spelling errors — Double-check spelling
